Boulder, CO, December 7, 2005 - Now you can exercise at high altitude (at or above 9,000 feet) just blocks from downtown Boulder. Colorado Altitude Training™ (CAT) and Boulder Rock Club have combined forces to offer the new Colorado Exercise Room™ (CER) at their location between 28th and 30th on Mapleton. The CER is the first publicly-available simulated altitude training environment in the Rocky Mountain Region. Try it for free until January 15, 2006 only at Boulder Rock.

John Bicknell, American Mountain Guide Association (AMGA) President had this to say after using the CER: "I live at 8000' and climb and guide regularly in the High Peaks of Rocky Mountain National Park, so I should be pretty acclimated. Even so, after training in the CAT Altitude Chamber, I see a huge difference. Yesterday, I was guiding a multi-pitch ice climb at 12,000' in the Park and was shocked at how fresh I felt. I could have been out for a leisurely stroll at sea level. I have to think the CAT chamber is responsible and I will continue to use it regularly."

Boulder Rock Club is setting appointments now. Start experiencing these benefits today:

  • Increase in lean body mass*
  • Increase in endurance*
