What is the Pulse Oximeter?
A
A pulse oximeter tells you what percent of your hemoglobin molecules are carrying oxygen - your blood oxygen saturation or %SpO2.
It is a noninvasive device that shines red and infrared light through a finger and detects the fluctuating signals caused by blood flow.
During exercise at altitude, you should try not to let your %SpO2 go below 70-80%.
