Oxygenated Rooms

Low Altitude Simulation

Low altitude simulation for those above 8,500 feet facilitates the acclimatization process and creates a more comfortable living environment for full time high altitude residents. Overnight oxygen exposure is ideal for recovery after a long day of skiing or hiking, or for helping out of town guests adjust to the high altitude. Low altitude simulation can also help the elderly, asthma suffers, and infants live a more comfortable life at higher elevations.

CAT simulates low altitude conditions by running ambient air through an air separation unit; effectively the process involves taking the ambient air, with 21% oxygen, into the unit and then pumping out air with 23-27% oxygen into an enclosure. Oxygen levels and air quality are closely monitored and controlled by a wall mounted control panel about the size of a thermostat. Users experience the beneficial effects of low altitude in minutes. CAT recommends custom fitting the system to simulate altitude throughout the bedroom (media rooms and home offices are also recommended). This setup maximizes the effectiveness of the system by delivering hyperoxic air to a resting user, for the duration of the night improving sleep, preventing mountain sickness, and speeding recovery from exercise.

WHAT OTHERS ARE SAYING:

"As professional athletes we all have discipline to train hard. At the end of the day it is what we do at night that really counts. Thanks CAT."
