What about below sea level training?
The lowest elevation in the Western Hemisphere is Death Valley at 282 feet below sea level.
The additional 282 feet below sea level is probably not enough to create a significant difference in training effect.
Besides, ground temperatures have been measured in Death Valley of 165 degrees Fahrenheit. A little on the warm side for good training.
