How long should I work out in the CER? How often? How hard?


A variety of schools of thought exist about altitude training.

We recommend that you start out exercising for a short period of time (10-15 minutes) at a moderate pace.

You should gradually work up to 30 minutes, and can exercise for as long as 2 hours in the CER.

As with any training method, you can see results even with minimum use, but we recommend 2-3 times per week to gain the maximum cardiovascular, muscular, and performance benefits.

The intensity should never approach maximal effort, because studies have shown that the benefits from altitude training come from moderate to moderately intense exercise.
